Bicycles aren’t allowed on the stadium campus on game days. ADA drop-off points are at Art Rooney Avenue and Reedsdale Street, and on North Shore Drive, across from the Kamin Science Center.

Getting there: North Shore parking is reserved and pre-sold, so buy a spot before game day. The stadium’s route from the airport is I-376 East, which becomes I-279 North, then exit 1B toward the North Shore; on event days it suggests alternate routes to avoid exit 1B.
Getting back: Walk back to your lot. The stadium’s parking guide suggests choosing a lot near your exit route; for the airport that means heading west toward the West End Bridge and I-376.

Tailgating isn’t allowed in garages, including the Champions Garage. Alco allows moderate tailgating in surface lots and directs every car to a space.

Getting there: Take the 28X Airport Flyer from outside Door 9 on the airport’s ground level to Downtown, then walk to a T station and ride free to North Side or Allegheny.

The airport says 28X buses leave about every 30 minutes. Cash fares need exact change and cards aren’t taken on board; the ticket machine near Door 8 takes cards. Check the last 28X before a night game.

Bags — Steelers

Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags up to 12 × 6 × 12 inches, a one-gallon clear freezer bag, or a small non-clear bag up to 4.5 × 6.5 inches. Each person, including children, may carry one clear bag and one small bag. Diaper bags are allowed only with medically necessary items, after inspection.

No strollers, seat cushions, coolers, cans, glass bottles, thermoses, footballs, selfie sticks or noisemakers. Factory-sealed plastic bottles of water or soft drinks up to 24 oz are allowed, and so is food in a clear plastic bag. Items refused at the gate aren’t held for you.

T stations from First Avenue to Allegheny are in the free fare zone, including North Side and Allegheny stations by the stadium. Ride beyond the zone and you pay.

Gateway Clipper from Station Square

The Gateway Clipper runs a riverboat shuttle from Station Square for every Steelers home game. Boarding starts three hours before the game, and return trips run from the start of the fourth quarter until an hour after it ends. Tickets are sold only at the dock ticket office: $7.50 one way, $15 round trip, kids 6 and under free.

No tailgating in North Shore garages, and no open flames there. Moderate, responsible tailgating is allowed in surface lots, where attendants direct each car to a space. The Kamin Science Center lots allow only limited tailgating at your car: no tents and no grills.

Useful things to know

Do I need a ticket for the T to the game?

Not inside the free fare zone. Stations from First Avenue to Allegheny, including Downtown and the two North Shore stations, are free to ride between.

Can I pay with cash inside the stadium?

No. Acrisure Stadium is cashless and has no ATM. The interior ticket window in the FedEx Great Hall loads cash onto a prepaid card for a fee, until halftime.

Can I tailgate?

In surface lots, yes, within Alco Parking’s rules. Garages don’t allow tailgating.
