Getting there: Board a C, E or W Line train at Union Station and ride to Empower Field at Mile High Station, about five minutes on the W Line schedule. The stadium says the station is an 8-minute walk from the stadium. A 3-hour pass is $2.75, and riders 19 and under ride free.
Getting back: Walk back to Empower Field at Mile High Station and take any C, E or W train toward Union Station. On the Sunday/holiday schedule the last trains leave the stadium station at 11:49 p.m. (C), 11:56 p.m. (E) and 11:59 p.m. (W); on Monday–Thursday the last W leaves at 12:29 a.m.

The stadium asks fans to check RTD for capacity limits and service frequency, and says Decatur-Federal Station on the W Line also serves the stadium. RTD notes that Auraria West Station may close during stadium events. The D and H Lines are suspended, so ignore older transfer advice that names them. Times are from RTD’s schedule for September 27, 2026 to January 2, 2027 and can change, so check RTD’s schedule or trip planner for your game day before you count on a late train. The Chargers game falls after that schedule ends.

Getting there: Limelight Denver’s FAQ puts Empower Field at Mile High about a 20-minute walk from the hotel, beside Union Station. Follow the route your map app suggests and the event signs near the stadium.
Getting back: Walk back the same way, or take a C, E or W train from Empower Field at Mile High Station to Union Station if the crowd is heavy.

Neither the stadium nor the city publishes a walking route from downtown, so no path or step-free route is given here. The stadium notes bike racks reached from the South Platte Trail.

Denver Trolley from Confluence ParkHighland / LoHishuttle

Getting there: Board the historic Denver Trolley at 1406 Platte Street in Confluence Park. It runs continuously from about two hours before kickoff until about 10 minutes after, and the stadium says it stops under I-25 about 100 yards east of the stadium. A $15 ticket covers the trip both ways; children three and under ride free.
Getting back: Trolleys back to Confluence Park run continuously from about the start of the fourth quarter until 45 minutes after the game ends.

It runs weather permitting. The stadium’s A–Z guide still lists older fares ($10 round trip, $7 one way); the trolley’s own page says $15 round trip. The Chargers game has no trolley times yet.

Rideshare from LoHiHighland / LoHirideshare

Getting there: Set your rideshare drop-off for the northeast corner of the stadium near Gate 5, on Mile High Stadium Circle.
Getting back: Rideshare pickup is in a different place: the Ball Arena Rideshare Lot at 5th and Walnut Streets, about a 15-minute walk east of the stadium.

Drop-off and pickup are in two different areas. The stadium publishes no wait times or surge advice. A taxi stand is on Bryant Street outside the Gate 5 area.

Hotel shuttle, A Line and light railAirport / Tower Roadtransit

Getting there: Take your hotel’s free airport shuttle to Denver International Airport, ride the A Line to Union Station (37 minutes on RTD’s schedule), then change to a C, E or W train to Empower Field at Mile High Station. A trip from the airport needs an airport fare: a $10 Airport Day Pass covers the whole system for the day.
Getting back: Ride a C, E or W train back to Union Station and the A Line to the airport. The last A Line leaves Union Station at 12:30 a.m. on the Sunday/holiday and Monday–Thursday schedules. The Ramada shuttle runs until 12:30 a.m.; La Quinta’s runs 24/7.

Neither Tower Road hotel runs a game-day shuttle. Two trains plus a shuttle take real time each way. Christmas Day runs on RTD’s Sunday/holiday schedule. Train times can change, so check RTD’s schedule for your date before you set out.

Getting there: Prepaid stadium permits are sold out. Stadium lots open 4.5 hours before kickoff. Lot C (Ford F-150) sells a very limited number of $55 spaces from six hours before kickoff, first come, first served, by credit card; the stadium expects it to sell out within an hour. Off-site lots at Ball Arena, Auraria Campus, the Downtown Aquarium and Riverside Church open about four hours before kickoff.
Getting back: Use the stadium’s exit map for your lot. Off-site lots aren’t run by the stadium, so check their own exit rules.

Off-site lot prices and availability vary, and a lot may be unavailable if it’s hosting another event that day. Carpool spaces in Lot A ($45) are sold only to cars with four or more people, and you can’t tailgate there.

At Empower Field at Mile High

Clear bags only

Bring a clear bag up to 12 × 6 × 12 inches, a one-gallon clear zip-top bag, or a small bag up to 4.5 × 6.5 inches. Backpacks, diaper bags and purses aren’t allowed, and there’s nowhere to check items at the gates; on-site lockers outside Gate 8 charge a fee. Coolers, stainless steel water bottles and noisemakers are prohibited.

Gates, re-entry and cashless

Gates open two hours before kickoff, and the stadium suggests reaching your gate an hour before. There’s no re-entry once your ticket is scanned. The stadium is cashless; cash-to-card kiosks are on Level 1 and by the Guest Relations Centers on Levels 3 and 5. Alcohol sales end after the third quarter.

Tickets and children

Everyone two and older needs a ticket; children under two can sit on a ticket holder’s lap. Tickets are mobile only, in the Broncos app or account manager. The barcode refreshes every 15 seconds, so screenshots won’t scan.

Parking is sold out in advance

Prepaid stadium permits are sold out. Lots open 4.5 hours before kickoff; Lot C sells a few $55 spaces from six hours before, and Lot A sells $45 carpool spaces to cars with four or more people. Off-site lots nearby open about four hours before kickoff.

Tailgating rules

One permit is one space for one vehicle; grills and tables go in the landscaped areas, not the empty space beside you. Tailgates must end 60 minutes before kickoff. Kegs, glass bottles and open-flame fires aren’t allowed, and there’s no tailgating in the Lot A carpool section or B-Valet.

Light rail and last trains

The C, E and W Lines stop at Empower Field at Mile High Station, an 8-minute walk from the stadium; the W Line also stops at Decatur-Federal. On RTD’s Sunday/holiday schedule from September 27, 2026 the last trains to Union Station leave the stadium station between 11:49 and 11:59 p.m. Check RTD’s schedule for your date before you travel. The D and H Lines are suspended.

Rideshare drop-off and pickup
