To the stadium: Walk through Patriot Place to the gate on your ticket. Most gates open two hours before kickoff.
After the game: Walk back through Patriot Place to your hotel. There’s no train, lot or bus to wait for.
The tradeoff: Only two hotels sit here, and Boston is about an hour away. Plan a separate trip for any city sightseeing.

Downtown Boston & Back BayA city weekend without a car

Make Boston the weekend and ride the MBTA game-day train to Foxboro station.

To the stadium: Buy the $20 round-trip event ticket in the mTicket app, then board at South Station or Back Bay. Trains usually reach Foxboro about an hour before kickoff.
After the game: Walk back to Foxboro station, about a quarter of a mile from Gillette, and board the Boston train. Check the Foxboro schedule on the day for departure times.
The tradeoff: The game is a separate trip of about an hour each way. Event train seats are limited and the tickets can’t be refunded.

Downtown ProvidenceFans driving in or coming from the south

Stay in a smaller city south of the stadium, with its own game-day train and an I-95 drive.

To the stadium: Board the Providence event train, which also stops at Pawtucket/Central Falls, Attleboro and Mansfield, or drive to a free general lot.
After the game: Take the Providence train from Foxboro station, or walk back to your lot and follow the exit you noted.
The tradeoff: Providence is in Rhode Island, a separate city from Boston. The MBTA lists one Providence event train for each game scheduled so far.

Getting there: Walk from your hotel through Patriot Place to the gate on your ticket. Most gates open two hours before kickoff; club, suite and some hospitality entrances open three hours before.
Getting back: Walk back through Patriot Place to your hotel.

There’s no stadium re-entry at Patriots games. Patriot Place retail lots allow no event parking or tailgating.

Patriots event train from BostonDowntown Boston & Back Baytransit

Getting there: Board the MBTA event train at South Station, Back Bay or Dedham Corporate Center. For the 1 p.m. games on October 11 and 18, trains leave South Station at 10:05 and 10:45 a.m. and reach Foxboro at 11:05 and 11:45 a.m.
Getting back: Walk back to Foxboro station, about a quarter of a mile from Gillette. Trains usually leave Foxboro 30 minutes after the game ends; check the Foxboro schedule on the day.

Round-trip tickets cost $20, are sold only in the mTicket app from 11 a.m. on the Monday before the game (Thursday December 3 for the December 10 game), and can’t be refunded or exchanged. They can sell out. The regular Franklin/Foxboro Line runs to Foxboro on weekdays only, and its last train may leave before the game ends.

Getting there: Book Uber or Lyft to Lot 15, the stadium’s rideshare drop-off, closest to the CVS Health Gate.
Getting back: Walk to Lot 15 for Uber, Lyft and taxi pickup.

The stadium publishes no postgame wait times or prices. Expect a long ride back after a full stadium empties.

Only one train runs from Providence for each game listed so far. The $20 round-trip ticket is sold only in the mTicket app, can sell out and can’t be refunded.

Stadium-side prepaid passes are only for season ticket members and are sold out for 2026. There’s no parking-lot re-entry. Patriot Place retail lots allow no event parking.
