A downtown arena with its own TRAX station at the door, The Gateway’s shops and planetarium next door, a brewpub and a brasserie on Broadway a few blocks south, Temple Square a few blocks east and the State Capitol up the hill.

Most Jazz and Mammoth games at Delta Center start at 7 p.m., many on weeknights, with a few afternoon starts. Doors open 90 minutes before the game. Delta Center says TRAX stops running at midnight, so plan your ride back before a late night out.

UTA’s April 2026 timetable shows the last airport-bound train leaving West Valley Central at 10:30 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays and 10 p.m. on Sundays; it reaches Arena station later, so check the Transit app for that train’s time at Arena on your game night.

Bags and purses aren’t allowed. Clutches up to 4 × 6 × 2 inches are fine, and diaper and medical bags up to 14 × 14 × 6 inches are X-rayed at Door 5 only.

Doors open 90 minutes before Jazz and Mammoth games. All tickets are digital: there are no paper tickets, and SeatGeek is the ticketing partner. The arena is cash-free, with five cash-to-card machines inside.

Delta Center is in a multi-year renovation that began in April 2025. The owner’s plans for the 2026 and 2027 offseasons add new seating in the north and south end zones, and future plans include a new main entrance and outdoor plaza. Follow the posted signs to your door.

The Mammoth host the Colorado Avalanche in the NHL Winter Classic on Dec. 31, 2026, at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, not at Delta Center.

Useful things to know

When do doors open at Delta Center?

Doors open to the public 90 minutes before Jazz and Mammoth games.

Can I leave and come back in?

Not at Jazz games: re-entry is prohibited at every Jazz home game. For other events, including Mammoth games, the arena says re-entry is up to event or arena management, so ask at the door.

Do kids need a ticket?

Children under 24 months get in free if they share a seat with a ticketed adult. Strollers aren’t allowed in the arena.

Can I take TRAX to the game?

Yes. The Green and Blue Lines stop at Arena station, at the arena. Buy a fare before you ride, since Delta Center tickets don’t count as fare, and plan for TRAX to stop at midnight.

Is Delta Center the same arena as Vivint Arena?

Yes. The arena opened in 1991 as the Delta Center, was EnergySolutions Arena from 2006 and then Vivint Smart Home Arena, shortened to Vivint Arena in 2020, and took back the Delta Center name in July 2023.
