Request a ride to Capital One Arena, 601 F Street NW. Uber’s page lists pickup spots for after the event but names no drop-off zone.
Getting back
After the game, walk to one of the pickup spots Uber lists: 7th and H Streets, 7th and F Streets, 6th and F Streets, 6th and G Streets, or 6th and H Streets NW. The app asks you to choose your pickup zone by its cross streets.
Uber’s list dates from 2019, and Lyft’s zones may differ, so follow what the app shows on the night. Prices and waits are set by the app.

It’s the longest ride of the four areas. WMATA lists King St-Old Town on the Blue and Yellow lines, and the Yellow Line also stops at Gallery Place-Chinatown, so the trip planner may offer a ride with no change. WMATA publishes general hours only, so check the last train to King St-Old Town on your date, especially on a Sunday or weeknight.
Only wallet-size clutches up to 4 × 6 inches and medical or parenting bags up to 14 × 14 × 6 inches are allowed, and every permitted bag is screened. Luggage, backpacks, hard-sided bags and purses aren’t allowed, and the arena doesn’t check or store them. Bring a medical or parenting bag through the entrance at 6th and F Streets.
Doors generally open one hour before the event. All tickets are mobile entry only, and print-at-home tickets aren’t accepted; in the Ticketmaster app, open your order and tap View Barcode. The arena is cashless: pay by card or contactless phone, or load cash onto a debit card at the reverse ATMs next to Guest Services on the 100 and 400 levels.
The arena’s FAQ allows exit and re-entry during Wizards and Capitals games but names two different entrances for it, F Street and Gallery Place, so ask staff before you step out. All guests are subject to search. You can bring one empty plastic water bottle, but no outside food or drink. Non-medical face coverings that hide your identity aren’t allowed. The arena is smoke-free and vape-free; smoking is allowed only outdoors, at least 25 feet from the building.
Gallery Place-Chinatown (Red, Green and Yellow lines) is the station at the arena. Judiciary Square, Metro Center and Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter are also nearby. WMATA’s general hours run until midnight Sunday to Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights; check the trip planner for your last train.
The arena lists its own garage, and reserved parking at nearby lots and garages through SpotHero, but publishes no garage price or hours. Ask through the parking contact form on the directions page before you drive.

Gallery Place-Chinatown, on the Red, Green and Yellow lines. Judiciary Square, Metro Center and Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter are also close.
Is Capital One Arena the old Verizon Center?
Yes. The arena opened as MCI Center, became Verizon Center, and took the Capital One Arena name in August 2017.
