Capital One Arena

Washington, District of Columbia

A Wizards or Capitals trip to Capital One Arena in Penn Quarter.

The local take

A downtown arena at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro stop, near Chinatown’s Friendship Archway, with the National Mall within walking distance.

Wizards and Capitals games fall on weeknights as well as weekends, so plan either a game night or a longer trip with museums the day before. Doors generally open one hour before the event, tickets are mobile entry only, and the arena is cashless. Check Metro’s last trains for your date before a late game.
