The tradeoff: Downtown hotels publish valet parking only, at a nightly charge. Streets near the stadium close to traffic on game days.

University Circle and Little Italy (Red Line)Museums, food and a quieter night

Stay among the museums, Case Western Reserve University and Little Italy, and take the Red Line downtown.

To the stadium: Board the Red Line at a University Circle station (Little Italy–University Circle or Cedar–University), ride to Tower City and change to the Waterfront Line.
After the game: Ride the Waterfront Line back to Tower City and change to an eastbound Red Line train. Red Line service ends around 12:30 a.m.
The tradeoff: It’s a train ride with a change at Tower City, plus a walk to the station at each end.

CLE airport and the western suburbsEarly flights and a cheaper base

Stay near Cleveland Hopkins airport and take the Red Line downtown, or drive in with parking booked ahead.

To the stadium: Take the hotel shuttle to CLE, where the Red Line station is on the terminal’s lower level, ride to Tower City and change to the Waterfront Line.
After the game: Ride back to Tower City, then take a westbound Red Line train to the airport. Check your hotel shuttle’s last run before you rely on it.
The tradeoff: The Wyndham lists itself 10 miles from downtown. Hotel shuttles serve the airport, not the stadium, and shuttle hours vary by hotel.

Getting there: Walk north toward the lake to Huntington Bank Field at 100 Alfred Lerner Way. Dawg Pound Drive, the Browns’ pregame party, is on Alfred Lerner Way outside the stadium.
Getting back: Walk back to your hotel with the crowd leaving the stadium.

East 9th and West 3rd close to traffic between Lakeside Avenue and the stadium from three hours before kickoff. Bags must meet the clear-bag rules; the paid bag check is at the stadium’s southwest corner.

The Waterfront Line runs only on listed Browns game days and select events. RTA lists 9:30 a.m.–6:15 p.m. for the Sunday 1 p.m. games and 5 p.m.–12:45 a.m. for the Thursday, Oct. 1 game. A one-trip fare is $2.50; mobile tickets must be scanned on the validator when you board.

Weekend Red Line trains run about every 15 minutes. An all-day pass ($5) covers both trains and is good until 3 a.m. the next day.

Getting back: Ride the Waterfront Line to Tower City and a westbound Red Line train to the airport. The Red Line runs from about 4 a.m. to about 12:30 a.m.

Ticket machines at the airport station take credit and debit cards. Hotel shuttles serve the terminal only; check your hotel’s shuttle hours for the return.

Getting there: Drive downtown with event parking booked in advance through JustPark, the Browns’ official parking partner. Arrive early: the Browns’ game-day page lists heavy traffic delays after 12 p.m.
Getting back: Walk back to the lot you booked and drive out once the traffic clears.

Rolling road closures start three hours before kickoff; during them, pass holders reach the stadium lots only by North Marginal Road from East 55th Street (I-90 exit 175). Closure times can change at the city’s discretion.
