UptownWalking to the game and a first visit

Stay among the towers, museums and parks of central Charlotte and walk to the stadium.

To the stadium: Walk to the stadium. The North Gate is off Graham Street, the Blue Cross NC East Gate off Mint Street and the South Gate off Morehead Street; all three are open to every ticket holder.
After the game: Walk back through Uptown with the crowd.
The tradeoff: Uptown hotels charge nightly for garage or valet parking. The Panthers warn of changes to traffic and parking patterns around the stadium on game days.

Dilworth and Myers ParkA quieter stay with breakfast included

Historic inns on leafy streets southeast of Uptown, with breakfast included and a short ride to the game.

To the stadium: Take a rideshare to one of the two zones the stadium lists within half a mile: College Street between 3rd Street and Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, or Mint Street near the I-277/Mint Street interchange.
After the game: Walk to either rideshare zone and follow your app’s pickup directions.
The tradeoff: These are small inns with few rooms, so they fill early, and the Duke Mansion says its rooms have one queen or king bed. You’ll need a ride to the stadium.

University City on the Blue LineA car-free game day on the train

A practical base at the north end of the LYNX Blue Line, with free parking and breakfast and a train into Uptown.

To the stadium: Ride the LYNX Blue Line to Brooklyn Village Station. Go down the ramp and the stadium is just over a football field away.
After the game: Walk back to Brooklyn Village, Carson or 3rd Street/Convention Center station and ride north.
The tradeoff: It’s about 10 miles from the stadium, so allow time for the train ride, and there’s little to do nearby in the evening.

Airport and south Charlotte off I-77Early flights, a car and tailgating

Value hotels off I-77 with free parking and breakfast, for early flights or a car-based tailgate.

To the stadium: Drive toward Uptown on I-77 and exit at the John Belk Freeway (I-277) or Trade Street, then go to the lot you booked.
After the game: Walk back to your lot and drive out with game traffic.
The tradeoff: You’ll drive or ride into Uptown for everything, including the game. Hotel shuttles, where offered, serve the airport, not the stadium.

Getting there: Walk to the stadium and join the security line on the road in front of any gate: North (Graham Street), Blue Cross NC East (Mint Street) or South (Morehead Street). All three gates are open to every ticket holder. Gates normally open two hours before kickoff.
Getting back: Walk back through Uptown with the crowd.

The clear-bag rule is enforced at the security lines, before the ticket queues. Tickets are mobile only, so add them to your phone’s wallet before you leave.
